UnionHiringHall.org is a joint initiative of King County labor unions and the federal Department of Labor created with the goal of making high-road employment more accessible to all. Our program is designed to offer underrepresented workers a pathway to high-road careers with a voice on the job, by improving access and breaking barriers to unionized employment.

We’re proud to operate in partnership with Partner in Employment, a leading workforce development organization in Washington, specializing in providing support to BIPOC, immigrant and refugee workers to overcome barriers to workforce entry.

Comunidad is a Latino grassroots organization based on Vashon Island, Washington and also organizing in surrounding areas in King and Pierce County. Established in 2009, Comunidad was born out of a collective desire to shift systems that hold back our success.

Our program is currently funded by a number of local labor unions, the City of Seattle, King County, and the U.S. Department of Labor. This funding is what allows us to facilitate this event to responsible union employers. Our funding also supports the operations of our database of unionized job opportunities available at: www.unionhiringhall.org

This edition of our Union Job Fair will be held at the Seattle Labor Temple.
