How to Enroll

1. Choose a Training Program
Browse our list of courses below. Click the program title that interests you — for example, Kitchen Confidence: Culinary Basics or The Skilled Pour: Bartending for the Hospitality Professional.

You can also attend one of our Friday online sessions offered at 9:00-9:30 am and 4:00-4:30 pm. These sessions are an easy place to get information, meet us, and get your questions answered—drop in anytime. Join here! (sessions start Friday, 12/19)

2. Check Available Dates & Location
Each program description includes upcoming session dates and location details. Make sure the timing works with your work and personal schedule.

3. Fill Out a Short Enrollment Request Form
Once you find the right class, complete our online enrollment request form. We only ask for a few pieces of information — name, contact, employer(s), and preferred session — to keep it quick and easy. Eligible participants for our training are current employees of partner employers who are also members of UNITE HERE! Local 8. See the Jobs with Partner Employers link for the list of employers.

4. Receive Confirmation & Next Steps
After you submit your interest form, we’ll send you an email to reply and confirm your spot. Please watch for it—your enrollment isn’t complete until you confirm (don’t forget to check your spam or junk folder!). Once you are confirmed, we will follow up by text and email with class details, location and parking, where to check in on your first day, and stipend eligibility details.

5. Plan Ahead for Your Course
There two key steps to plan for a successful training experience. First, mark your calendar for the dates of training. Second, even though our team is communicating with your HR office we recommend speaking with your supervisor as well regarding your training dates. Our team will coordinate with your employer(s) requesting time off for you to attend your course.

6. Attend the Course & Earn Your Stipend
Complete all hours of the training to learn the skills and earn your stipend.
